Have a flick through what's on below...

This season is packed with incredible shows, and we’re especially proud to be producing another of our award-winning pantomimes. Following our win at the national pantomime awards for best script, the same creative team are putting their signature Lawrence Batley Theatre twist to the magical tale of Aladdin. Every year we run our Christmas Heroes appeal to raise money to bring hundreds of local children and their families to experience the joy of theatre over the festive season. One previous recipient said:

“It was our first pantomime in our life but it is love at first sight. Thank you for the children’s happiness and for this magic!”

Drawn from the first-hand testimonies of three families who lost loved ones to suicide at HMP Woodhill and others with experience of the system, Woodhill is a dance theatre performance that weaves those verbatim accounts voiced by actors through with dynamic choreography to expose the negligence and injustice embedded within the system. Timelier than ever due to the prison’s continued decline – as officially acknowledged by the Ministry of Justice in April 2026 – the piece forces us to confront the value placed on the lives of those behind bars centring three families who refuse to stop asking how and why their loved ones died and demanding change.

One of the UK's most celebrated playwrights, John Godber, returns to Huddersfield with his take on a gritty period drama. The Highwayman transports audiences to Yorkshire in 1769 - a region booming with opportunity, social climbing, gambling and gin. But where there's wealth, temptation is never far behind, and one notorious outlaw is determined to take his share. From the writer of Bouncers, Teechers and Shakers, this fast-paced new production blends Godber's trademark humour, sharp social observation and larger-than-life characters into a hilarious and exhilarating theatrical adventure.

Legendary Huddersfield playwright Angie Smith returns to her favourite venue with a new show The Windrush Journey and Stories. Staged during Black history month this new play, on for one-night-only, tells true tales of the Windrush Generation.

With a magical Autumn/Winter coming up, we want to give you the chance to discover and see as much as you can.
