As a registered charity and the only professional theatre in Kirklees, we are proud to celebrate over 30 years of generous support from our longstanding corporate partner, Syngenta.
Our partnership began in 1994 with Syngenta supporting the fundraising efforts of the local community by becoming a founding patron of Lawrence Batley Theatre. Over the last three decades, the partnership has gone from strength to strength. Through regular sponsorship Syngenta has supported our efforts to champion outstanding home-grown talent, bring world class shows to Huddersfield and be a welcoming place for the community.
In addition to regular sponsorship, for the past eight years Syngenta have donated to our annual Christmas Heroes appeal. Each year Syngenta invite 400 local children to visit us to see our festive pantomime, arranging transport to and from the theatre and treating each child to an ice cream at the interval.
This year, Syngenta are proud to be sponsoring our annual festival of outdoor entertainment Summer in the Courtyard. Each summer we build an outdoor stage in our stunning courtyard and summer 2025 sees a fresh new line-up of entertainment including free live music, comedy, headline DJs, family fun and so much more.
