A group of children sit in blue theatre seats, engaged in an activity. A young girl in the foreground, wearing a pink shirt, excitedly raises her hand. Other children, some also raising their hands, are seated around her, looking towards the front. In the background, a smiling adult male, possibly a teacher or facilitator, watches. The theatre has blue seats and an orange and blue interior design.

From big outdoor dance parties to colourful jungle adventures, we’ve lined up a summer of family fun right here in Huddersfield.

For kids who love getting creative, watching live shows, or just dancing in the sunshine, there’s something happening at ours to make the school holidays a little more magical for everyone.

Robyn Hood: A great twist on a classic tale

A new heroine is in town – and she’s ready to stand up for what’s right.

Meet Robyn, a young girl from the big city who builds her own slice of Sherwood in a patch of green space. But when developers threaten her den, Robyn channels the spirit of her legendary namesake in this bold, musical reimagining.

With original live music, interactive storytelling, and integrated audio description, Robyn Hood is a fun and thoughtful family show about friendship, courage, and fighting for the things you care about.

A promotional poster for 'Robyn Hood,' presented by Fidget Theatre. The image features a performer with curly brown hair wearing blue overalls and a bright blue t-shirt, standing confidently in front of a stylised illustrated forest background. They hold a wooden bow aloft in one hand and a handmade cardboard sign reading 'Robyn Hood' in the other. Their facial expression is determined and playful.

Dates by age group:
Tue 29 July – Ages 12–17
Wed 30 July – Ages 9–11
Thu 31 July – Ages 6–8

A young girl with light skin, wearing pink glasses and a light pink t-shirt, sits in a theatre with blue seats. She is looking up with an excited expression, her mouth open and her hand raised in a gesture. Behind her, a young boy with curly hair and darker skin sits in a similar blue seat, rubbing one of his eyes with his finger. The background is slightly blurred, showing additional rows of blue theatre seats.

So, what’s your family’s summer looking like?
