A three-time Indian National Champion, Prathiba brings decades of performance and teaching experience to this welcoming, high-energy session.
Open to all ages, abilities and mobility levels, every movement can be adapted so that everyone can take part comfortably. No previous dance experience—or knowledge of Bollywood—is needed. Just bring your enthusiasm and come as you are!

Do I Need To Be A Good Dancer?
If you’ve never danced before, and you have two left feet, you are so welcome here. We’re running a fun, friendly class for people to play together and experience culture.
What Should I Wear?
Wear something comfy that you can move in. Some people love wearing long, flowy skirts as there is lots of twirling but feel free to dress however you like, we don't mind.
Is It Women Only?
No, men are also welcome at this inclusive class.
Can Children Join In?
Young People over 16 are allowed to take part.
Can I Just Turn Up To A Session?
Sessions must be booked in advance as spaces are limited.
Where Are The Sessions Based?
All sessions will take place at Lawrence Batley Theatre, gather at the Box Office (entrance on the right as you look at the theatre) and the staff will guide you to the room.
How Much Does It Cost?
Thankfully our classes are well subsidised, so we can offer sessions for £6 pay as you go or £30 for the term (6 sessions).
