Our annual Christmas Hero appeal is back and we need your help!

Once again, we’ll be working alongside dozens of local charities and community organisations to welcome children and families from across Kirklees to experience the joy and magic of live theatre. But we can’t do it without you.

With your support, we can bring children and their families to experience our 2026 pantomime, Aladdin.

Every £20 donated can cover the cost for a child or family member to experience the magic of the theatre. They will receive a VIP ticket to see our festive family pantomime, Aladdin, a show programme and a free ice cream.

This Christmas, you can be a hero!

Why It Matters

Pantomime is often a child’s first experience of theatre but for many children and their families in Kirklees, a festive trip to the theatre just isn’t possible. With your support, our Christmas Hero appeal enables those in our community, who need it the most, to experience the absolute joy that pantomime brings.

Live theatre has the power to spark imaginations, to give children the chance to dream and create memories that last forever. By supporting our Christmas Heroes appeal, you can give a child or family something truly special, laughter shared together and a memory to treasure.

Accessing Christmas Hero tickets

If you are local community group or charity who would like more information about accessing tickets through our Christmas Heroes appeal, please contact our Creative Associate, Keisha at keisha@thelbt.org

Donations may be used for tickets to an alternative show at the discretion of Lawrence Batley Theatre. 

We are raising funds so we can bring children and their families to experience the joy of theatre over the festive season. If we have donations left after the appeal, we will use your donations to support other areas of our charitable work.
