Looking for things to do in Huddersfield this summer? Taking place during the school break, these exciting youth theatre workshops offer a rare chance for young people to explore how magic is made in our theatre – before making a bit themselves!
Our Summer Sessions are one-day drama workshops for young people aged 6–17, packed with summer fun and hands-on creative experiences.
What to expect
Participants will go behind the scenes to get a glimpse of the backstage workings of the theatre, starting with a tour and a chance to meet our technical team. They'll discover how lighting, sound and stage effects bring performances to life, before working with our Young Company tutors to create a short youth performance to share with family and friends in the main auditorium.
Who Summer Sessions are for
Both welcoming and inclusive, Summer Sessions are ideal for children of all levels – whether they’re new to drama or already a budding star. It’s a brilliant way to make new friends, learn fun theatre facts, and enjoy a memorable day of summer fun in a relaxed and supportive environment.
Perfect for families in Kirklees looking for kids’ days out, kids’ classes, or a fun way to try acting for kids this summer in Huddersfield.
