Masterclass is an informal programme of workshops, designed to allow you to try out a variety of creative careers and skills with high-level professionals in the field. Whether it’s for career exploration, a new hobby or just general interest, all aged 16+ are welcome to come along.
From cans to CAD and cues to hues, this session will act as an introduction to lighting and lighting design. Using the recent Huddersfield Light Opera production of The Little Mermaid, Chris will help to demystify the world of theatrical lighting and take you through the process of how lighting is designed, rigged and modified for the greatest impact on stage.
Chris Brearley is Artistic Director of Huddersfield Light Opera Company (HLOC) with over 40 years experience in the field of lighting and sound design.
