A quadruple bill of new work from IMPERMANENCE following a decade of creating cutting edge dance for stage and screen.

FERAL 

Based on the book by, and featuring George Monbiot, FERAL is an audio-visual collaboration with composer Hollie Harding, featuring an original recording from the London Symphony Orchestra.

COSMIC YOGHURT

Communing with recordings of Leonora Carrington, her paintings and short stories, Cosmic Yoghurt is a dance that attempts to channel the artist's extraordinary energy and imagination. Created in conversation with designer and long-term collaborator Pam Tait, and a first time collaboration with composer Nick Hart.

ENEMY OF THE STARS

A dance adaptation of a play by the same name, written by Wyndham Lewis in 1914, seven months before the outbreak of WW1 and published as part of the Vorticist manifesto - BLAST. Music composed by Ben Oliver.

VENUS

Suffragette Mary Richardson vandalised the Rokeby Venus painting at the National Gallery in protest against sexist voting laws. Richardson would later go on to lead the Women's Section of the British Union of Fascists. 

VENUS is an explosive piece of Dance Theatre for 7 performers which seeks to embody the chaos and political ambiguity of the early twentieth century. Created with writer Peter Clements and composer Li Yilei.
