Hosted at the beautiful Lawrence Batley Theatre, that’s located just off the edge of Campus, we have an amazing line-up of comedians for you to enjoy.

Travis Jay - A phenomenal live act, Travis most recently performed his 2021/22 show Travis Jay Live to a sold out Bloomsbury Theatre.

Darran Griffiths - In 2018 he was Amused Moose National New Comedian semi-finalist, BBC New Comedy Award nominee and Leicester Square Theatre New Comedian runner-up.

Josh Weller - As seen on ITV2 Stand Up Sketch Show, Weller’s high energy brand of cleverly self-deprecating stand-up landed him on pro bills after just one year on the circuit.

Sophie Duker - Her Edinburgh Fringe Show, Venus, saw her nominated for the Best Newcomer award and gained critical acclaim and five star reviews. The success of this show saw her performing a sold out two week run at the Soho Theatre. Sophie is a regular guest on Frankie Boyle’s New World Order (BBC2). She has appeared on Live at The Apollo (BBC2), Mock the Week (BBC2), 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown (Channel 4) and Hypothetical (Dave). Sophie is the winner of the most recent series of Taskmaster (Channel 4). Other appearances include 8 Out of 10 Cats (E4), Don’t hate the Playaz (ITV2), Dave Gorman’s Terms and Conditions Apply (Dave), and Jonathan Ross’ Comedy Club (ITV). She can also be seen on in Riot Girls (Channel 4), Quickies (BBC3) and Roast Battle (Comedy Central). Sophie won the 2021 Funny Women Best Comedy Writer Award, as voted by producers, head writers and executives across the industry. She is also the host of the monthly comedy night, Wacky Racists Comedy Club and is the host of the official TV companion podcast to I May Destroy You (BBC), Obsessed With… I May Destroy You on BBC Sounds and the official TV companion podcast to Everything I know about Love (BBC), Obsessed With…Everything I know about Love (BBC Sounds).

Travis Jay - A phenomenal live act, Travis most recently performed his 2021/22 show Travis Jay Live to a sold out Bloomsbury Theatre, which was also filmed as a special and will be released in 2022. He has previously played to sold out crowds at the world-famous West End Palladium Theatre as part of the U Got Jokes Comedy show and performed alongside Dave Chappelle for Dave Chappelle and Friends directed by Stan Lathan in 2018 which subsequently led to him supporting Chappelle in London as part of his world tour. Travis made his Edinburgh Fringe debut in 2019 with his show Funny, Petty, Cool which achieved widespread critical acclaim and recently supported Britain’s Got Talent golden-buzzer winning comedian Kojo Anim on his UK tour in 2020. On television, Travis is a regular on Late Night Mash (DAVE), and as a writer and voice artist for the rebooted Spitting Image (Britbox) and has appeared on shows including Stand Up Sketch Show (ITV2), Mo Gilligan: Black, British & Funny (Channel 4) and Drunk History and Comedy Central Live (Comedy Central).

Darran Griffiths - In 2018 he was Amused Moose National New Comedian semi-finalist, BBC New Comedy Award nominee and Leicester Square Theatre New Comedian runner-up. In 2019 he sold out his debut show ‘Essex Bwoy’ at the Camden Fringe. In 2021 he was British Comedian of the Year semi-finalist. He has performed at some of the top comedy clubs in London as well as sold out shows at the Hackney Empire and the Indigo at the O2.

Josh Weller - As seen on ITV2 Stand Up Sketch Show, Weller’s high energy brand of cleverly self-deprecating stand-up landed him on pro bills after just one year on the circuit. In addition to his live comedy work, Josh has developed a loyal fanbase for his viral musical videos and online content, with views in the millions which includes mockumentaries, sketches, professional trolling, animated stand-up comedy shorts, character work, and more. His 2020 mockumentary ‘The U2 Taken Paradox’ has had over a million views and angered legions of loyal U2 fans.
