Update on Coronavirus and your visit to the Lawrence Batley Theatre
Although we appreciate the public concern around Coronavirus, we have taken the decision that for the moment at least, it is very much business as usual at the Lawrence Batley Theatre. We therefore have no plans to close the theatre or cancel any shows. In the event that we are forced to close or cancel shows, all ticket holders will of course be reimbursed in full.
However, we are asking audiences to be considerate of others and if you are experiencing ill health, flu-like symptoms or are self-isolating please do not attend the theatre in the interests of public health. If you are self-isolating you are free to transfer your ticket to another person who can attend or, in some cases, you will be able to claim a credit for a future show.
We are keeping in regular touch with Kirklees Council and Arts Council England as our two main funders, and are operating in line with current advice – which for the moment is ‘keep calm and carry on.’
If you have any concerns at all please don’t hesitate to get in touch or visit the NHS website here.
