Huddersfield Thespians
Updated by Alan Ayckbourn from an original play by Will Evans & Arthur Valentine
Aubrey is an unsuccessful inventor who inherits a fortune, which is to revert on his death to his cousin.
As Cousin George is thought to have died abroad, the inventor has the brilliant idea of ‘dying’ so that he can resurrect himself as his cousin and avoid paying his enormous debts. Complications and farce arise in the form of George’s wife, an imposter and even the dead George.
Huddersfield Thespians present Alan Ayckbourn’s updated version of the first of the famous Aldwych Farces.
