In order to provide a safe environment for our customers, staff and artists in light of the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, we have introduced a number of safety measures.
All tickets will need to be booked in advance of the show that you wish to attend either via our website or by calling the box office on 01484 430 528 from 12pm – 2pm, Mon – Thu. We will accept e-tickets or booking confirmations.
ARRIVING AT THE THEATRE
We shall email you a suggested arrival time so that you can enjoy a drink and be seated in plenty of time before your show starts.
We will have clear one-way systems in place in both the Courtyard and the building allowing visitors to get to and from their seats, and staff will guide parties in to the auditorium individually.
Our already high cleaning standards have been enhanced by a cleaning programme designed to clean and sanitise the high touch points within the theatre for staff and public areas.
Toilets will be available but on a one in, one out basis.
Hand sanitising stations are in place across the Courtyard and building for staff and visitors.
All toilets have been stocked with anti-bacterial hand soap, and stringent hand washing guidelines are in place.
We have reduced our capacity within the theatre to 120 seats in the first instance, allowing us to seat parties together but in a configuration that respects social distancing. We shall review our capacity regularly to work in accordance with public health guidance.
HOUSEHOLDS / BUBBLES
If making a group booking, all ticket holders must be from the same household or support bubble. We will only be allowing group bookings of up to six people into our shows.
Measures will be implemented across all areas for visitors.
THE COURTYARD BAR
We are operating table service only – taking your orders and payment via our swanky bar website. You can order when you arrive by clicking here.
In light of recent advice from the Government and Local Public Health Authorities, from Sat 8 August, all customers will be required to wear a face mask/covering when entering our building.
We know that any concentration of virus in indoor air can be reduced by bringing fresh outdoor air in to the building so we shall keep doors and windows open front of house where appropriate.
Health assessment will be conducted with all members of staff before returning to work in the building to identify any additional needs as well as ensuring that any appropriate PPE is identified and supplied.
NHS TRACK & TRACE
You will find the QR code for the NHS track & trace app displayed around the theatre. You will need to download the NHS COVID-19 app from the app store on your smart device to be able to scan the code. Upon scanning the code you will register the date and time that you are at the Lawrence Batley Theatre, once this is done there is nothing more for you to do.
