Our May Coffee House Night features:

Laura Taylor is a regular performer at festivals, gigs and fundraisers and had her first collection published by Flapjack Press in 2016, with a foreword by Attila the Stockbroker, "She is riveting, inspiring, dead hard and incredibly soft at the same time."

Alex Slater's fast paced poetry is laced with humour and charm, from the political to the absurd. One of a troupe of performance poets that make up 'The Potty Mouths', Alex is the co runner of SPEAK, a diverse Spoken Word night in the heart of Manchester's Northern Quarter driven to bringing poetry to the masses. A multi slam finalist, his credits include: Evidently, Just Write, The Kendal Calling Poetry Stage, Punk in Drublic, Rum 100 festival, Take Back and supporting Gerry Potter on his most recent book launch ‘Accidental Splendour of the Splash’ and The King Blues at the Manchester Academy.
