The musical takes a unique look at the last days of the life of Jesus Christ. A fun, modern day and ground-breaking re-telling of the Gospel according to Matthew.
Featuring popular songs such as the international hit Day by Day, Prepare Ye The Way Of The Lord, Turn Back, O Man and By My Side, the show's music won two Grammy awards for its composer, Stephen Schwartz. Schwartz has since gone on to write the music for a number of favourite musicals including Pippin, Disney’s Pocahontas and the current smash-hit Wicked.
With sophisticated verbal humour and broad physical comedy GODSPELL is full of great songs, stories and spirit - perfect for all ages, faiths and humours.

What a show so good I will be back today for more. Laughter and tears wonderful harmonies magnificent routines and a great band if you havent seen it do so today.
Came to see the show last night - brilliant! All the reviews on here dont do the society justice. The show was excellent from start to finish. If you havent seen it yet or got tickets yet - GET SOME! You wont be disappoinited. Well done to the production team and all the company involved. Great singing. Strong acting. Superb set/lights. Great night out.
Congratulations Longwood on another wonderful show. Came to see Godspell last night - and loved it! The singing, dancing, acting is all first class - just what you come to expect from this society. Loved the set and the lighting effects too. I hope the audience numbers improve for the society as the week goes on - as it is well worth watching. Truly professional. Well done to the entire company.
Fantastic show, wasn't sure at first. But within minutes I was hooked. The harmonies were brilliant and the cast so full of energy. A must see !!!!

Godspell has a good mix of laughter and sadness. Excellent acting by all especially Dominic who had me in tears at the end of the show. Singing was wonderful helped along by the great band. Set was simple but effective. A thoroughly enjoyable show that I would recommend to my friends
Went to see this last night - its fantastic. The choreography and singing are fabulous. The ending is really moving but ends on a high note. I already want to go and see it again! If you have nothing planned for your weekend get tickets for this on Friday or Saturday; you wont be disappointed.
This show is of a TRUE PROFESSIONAL STANDARD!! The cast were amazing, the band were mind blowing and most of all the lighting was magnificent.
Just been down to Longwood's first night of Godspell, what a wonderful show, highly energetic, fast moving and at times absolutly hilarious! ... Lets fill the place, it is absolutly worth it!
My neighbour Marjorie bought us tickets for tonights show. We laughed throughout at the enthusiasm of the cast. Excellent lighting effects made for a truly terrific Tuesday evening out.
