Funny Women Awards
Comedic trailblazers Funny Women come to Huddersfield for the first time on Saturday 19th June 2010 as they tour their unique annual competition, the Funny Women Awards, for the eighth year running. Joining a bill of brand new local talent will be internationally acclaimed duo Domestic Goddi, performing an exclusive preview of their latest show.
Hosting the Lawrence Batley heat will be Edinburgh Fringe Report Awards winner and 2006 Funny Women finalist Rosie Wilby. Huddersfield’s finest female comics will also appear alongside 2009 Funny Women finalists Domestic Goddi, (comprising of BBC Comedy Award winner Helen O'Brien, and Stage Award nominee Genevieve Swallow) as they present a sneak-preview of their 2010 Edinburgh show.

WORKSHOP SATURDAY 19 JUNE
Enjoy working with other women for a fun packed two hours. In the run up to this year’s Funny Women Awards, the producers of Funny Women show how a humorous approach to life can be empowering by introducing you to the techniques of stand up.
