Broken hearts, broken bones and broken promises - the battle for rugby’s soul is about to begin!

Divided by class and united by passion; Broken Time is a gripping portrayal of how Rugby League burst painfully into life - a compelling story of one man’s obsession with the spirit of amateurism and another man’s determination to win at all costs.

Set against the whirlwind of late nineteenth-century industrial strife, this resonantly modern clash leaves a rugby star, the Beckham of his day, an unwitting pawn in a ferocious battle for control of a game. Sparkling with wit and sweat-soaked with passion, Broken Time is an action packed epic on an industrial scale.

With live brass music and razor sharp comedy, delve into an untold seam of British history and the story of a Victorian community torn apart by their passion for a game.

Broken Time was an outstanding performance of a flawlessly crafted production, perfectly cast.
Never have I enjoyed a production that included so many different facets - comedy, tragedy, romance and intrigue which so perfectly related actual historical events. As if that was not enough there was singing and dancing and, best of all, wonderful brass band music throughout. I hope this production plays at more venues in the future as it is definitely not to be missed.

Thank you - what an absolutely passionate performance and a thoroughly entertaining evening.
Just sorry it isn't on for longer, we would have come back for a second night with pleasure.
Historical, humerous, touching and full of Yorkshire grittyness.
The casts performance was second to none and would be at home on any stage anywhere. Thank you.

Hi Rob - We have passed your comments to the producers who we believe might be looking at touring this again in the near future. Thanks, the LBT team

Is there any chance the production company would consider bringing the show down here to South Wales? We currently have 'Up and Under' touring around the local area, now featuring a 'Rugby Union' backdrop instead to appeal more to the local audience apparantly (and no Samantha Janus Shower Scene!!!)! Our local RL club would be very interested if you brought your proudction down here, possibly to Neath or Cardiff if this is possible. some things are best left in the way they were intended!

I saw this in Wakefield and it's fantastic. If you're not a rugby fan don't worry - it's a really, really good story. And the brass band throughout is really great.
