Blithe Spirit

Charles Condomine’s first wife Elvira has been dead for seven years. Since then he has been reasonably happy with his second wife Ruth.
After Madame Arcati, a local medium, conducts a séance at their home, Elvira returns from the dead. Elvira is determined to get Charles to herself forever, so she arranges several ‘accidents’, one of which culminates in Ruth joining her.
Now plagued by two jealous squabbling spirits, Charles bids them both farewell and his two wives are left petulantly tearing the house apart.
Noël Coward’s comic play is presented by the Huddersfield Thespians who have been favourites in the area for over 90 years.
