Actor's Studio

A challenging class for young actors aged 18 – 25. LBT's Actor’s Studio offers drama workshops for young people who have previous experience and who show talent, passion & commitment. The focus of the class is on developing acting skills to a high level with performance as a key component. Entry is by audition / interview.

When :             Mondays during term time 7pm - 9pm

Opera Circle

A discussion group for people who are interested in opera. Friendly, informal evenings to explore opera in all its forms. No previous knowledge required!

When:             1st Monday of the month 7pm - 9pm

Acting Up

An open access drama workshop for adults of all ages. Acting Up is an open access drama group suitable for adults of all ages, abilities and backgrounds. Will help you build your confidence and hone your acting skills in a fun, informal & supportive atmosphere. There will be opportunities to perform too! No audition required.

Write Now

A writing group at LBT for anyone over 16. Develop your writing skills and your creativity, be inspired, and share your work in a friendly and supportive environment. There are sometimes also opportunities to have work performed at LBT.

LBT Sunshine Players

A theatre group for anyone over 50. No previous experience necessary. The group explore all sorts of issues through drama and put on regular performances.

Third Stage

 A fortnightly group for the over 50’s which offers Tai Chi, drama and art workshops – friendly, welcoming and stimulating.

Wildnotes

A group for adults who loves to sing. All songs are taught by ear so absolutely no previous singing experience is required and the group is relaxed, informal and fun. Leader Jenny Goodman has worked nationally and internationally as a voice and singing teacher and choir leader. She teaches harmony songs from folk traditions around the world plus her own songs and is renowned for her encouraging, inspiring style. Jenny believes that singing is a whole body experience which comes from the heart so come prepared to move and sing out.

When:             Thursday evenings during term time 7.30 til 9.30pm  
Where:            LBT Large Meeting Room

Level:              Suitable for all
