The theatre is fully accessible to people with specific needs and has won an ADAPT award for ‘Best practice in Access for disabled people.'

 

The LBT participates in the Kirklees Passport +1 Scheme* - please call 01484 234056 for further details on how to qualify. (*May not be available for certain externally promoted events - ask Box Office for details)

 

Wheelchair users

There are a limited number of wheelchair spaces in the Main Auditorium and the Syngenta Cellar, with accessible toilets in both venues. There is a lift with access to the Syngenta Cellar - please contact the Duty Manager. Wheelchair users may be accompanied by a companion, free of charge to most LBT professional events - please contact Box Office to check availability prior to booking.

 

 

Facilities for the deaf or hearing impaired

If you would like to make use of our facilities please inform the Box Office when making your booking and they will advise you on the best possible seating areas.  If you are a minicom user you can contact the Box Office on (01484) 430528 - please use your TDD announcer to alert our staff to your call.

 


   
Facilities for the blind or visually impaired
Guide dogs are welcome in both venues where a bowl of water will be provided on request. Certain performances may offer an audio descriptive commentary via headset - these will be highlighted in the What's On Guide. If you have a sight impairment, please inform Box Office at the time of booking,  and you will be advised of the best possible seating areas.

The current season's brochure is also available in Braille, large print and on CD-rom, please ask the Box Office for more details.

 

Car Parking
There is designated car parking for disabled badge holders outside the theatre on Queen Street.
