Aphra is the last woman alive in 2316. She has just two weeks to live. Societies have collapsed, sea levels have risen and a volatile stormy climate leaves her living amongst floods and famine.

A group of women are drawn together by an unearthly power to prevent her death. Gathered from every corner of the globe they each bring different experiences and work together to build about change and forge a future for the planet.

Singers from across the world and their diverse musical traditions are brought together in Unknown Woman to embody the different aspects of women. The rich combination of voices and styles from folk to contemporary, opera to electronics represents the power of the united woman. Combined with powerful film projections and a passionate score you are drawn you into a world where, whether male or female, you'll be inspired to make a change.
