Cosy up in the warm and welcoming setting of Queenie’s Coffee Shop for another series of fabulous spoken word, music and theatre performances, as well as opportunities to take part in our open mic.

Indulge in delicious spoken word and acoustic music at our May Coffee House Night as we welcome three more wonderful acts to our space.

Harry Gallagher

Harry Gallagher has been published widely, with 3 pamphlets currently available, most recently Chasing The Sunset (Black Light Engine Room Press, 2016). His first full collection is being published later this year by Stairwell Books. He performs regularly up and down the UK.

Jenny and the Good Men

Jenny and the Good Men are a Colne Valley acoustic roots band who specialise in songs telling the stories of ordinary working folk (particularly women) across the ages and across the world, sprinkled with a good dash of political edge and a distinctive Northern flavour.

Genevieve Walsh

Genevieve is a Yorkshire-raised Londoner who began performing her work in 2012. She has been compère and coordinator of her event Spoken Weird and a member of nationally acclaimed poetry organisation A Firm of Poets since 2013. 2017 sees the release of her debut collection, The Dance of a Thousand Losers, on Salford’s Flapjack Press.
